Preschool 2 Enjoying Art
Our first class trip took us to Kiasma, the Museum of Contemporary Art. After a walk around the building, recognizing the different parts and various materials it is made of, including water pools, we headed inside.
There were some artworks that generated vibrations and others that projected light, allowing the children to hear sounds and see shadows on the wall. The children were also asked about the emotions they were feeling. Tasting was postponed until the lunch break, when the children were eager to get a snack. All in all, the experience ties in with our theme for September The Five Senses, and certainly tickles the children's imagination.
