Preschool 2 at the National Museum
Imagine a museum where you could not only look at the exhibits but also touch and try out everything! This is exactly what we found at the "Vintti" workshop, where our preschoolers got a hands-on experience in themed areas of everyday life. Some were building a house with foam bricks and others were grinding grains with a hand mill. Many were excited to mount the model horse, pretending to pull a carriage. In the old schoolroom, they were sitting at the desks with lift-up lids and writing on the chalkboard.
The preschoolers also met the Finnish presidents - past and present - in life-size displays. It was great to get the feel of Finnish history in the run-up to the 100th anniversary of this country!
