Grade 9 on a trip to the Netherlands
Our trip to The Netherlands has been an unforgettable one. We have made so many memories that we will cherish forever. First getting picked up by the Dutch students from the airport, then having a blast on the bus ride to Cals college. You should’ve seen our faces when we arrived to the school. Compared to our small and compact school the building felt humongous. We all thought it could’ve been from a basic teen movie. We have done so much in so little time. We have seen the beautiful cities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. We have also gotten the privilege to visit the Van Gogh museum in the heart of Amsterdam, along with The Amsterdam Dungeons. Thursday was a full body workout. First walking from the train station to the highest church tower in The Netherlands, then climbing up around 350 steps and learning about the history of Utrecht. After climbing up the actual workout began. Shopping for hours on end, canoeing for two hours in the cities beautiful canals. Although it was a very tiring day, it was a day to remember. Currently we’re sitting in a local Dutch cafe in the heart of Nieuwegein, eating delicious pastries. These past days have gone past so quickly, we’re so sad to leave this wonderful experience behind. However, we will cherish the memories forever. We hope this collaboration will continue in the future and others will get to experience the same things we have.
